Open Nassau is an enterprise software platform to enable to quickly develop collaborative enterprise-scale applications to support a number of business processes, like customer relationship management (CRM), product lifecycle management (PLM), enterprise content management, CAD-integrations, ERP-integrations, and many more.
For designers, Open Nassau delivers a full development framework, based on Eclipse and full-blown J2EE development, documentation and design-build-test support for enterprise-scale applications. Open Nassau's objective is to use and promote open-source components to achieve its goal.
For end-users, Open Nassau delivers a set of enterprise solutions that focuses on performance, high-availability, flexibility and open source. User interfaces will range from thin client to rich internet application to mobile solutions (e.g. WAP).
In the first phases of the Open Nassau roadmap, the development environment is build to provide the basis for further development of the Open Nassau foundation. One of the first collaborative enterprise applications is initial product lifecycle management. The following capabilities will be implemented: Organizational management, master data and bill of material management, collaboration portal and enterprise content management.
